A Glass Skin routine depends less on the number of products than on how the steps work together. A few light layers, applied in an order that feels comfortable, can make the whole ritual easier to keep.
Start with Hydration
After a gentle cleanse, a light hydrating toner can make a useful first layer. It is not essential for everyone, but it can offer an easy starting point before richer textures. The usual rhythm is simple: begin with the thinnest layer and move gradually towards the more substantial ones.
Several thin layers can feel more pleasant than applying one very heavy layer all at once. From there, an ampoule or serum can follow. They can be more concentrated care layers, but there is no rule that says both belong in every routine; one, the other, or neither may make sense.
Different skin types and changing days call for different amounts of care. The useful question is not how many bottles sit on the shelf, but whether the sequence feels manageable and leaves enough room to notice what your skin is asking for.
Layer Light, Finish with Moisture
Serum or ampoule usually comes after the lighter hydrating steps and before moisturizer. In an evening routine, moisturizer is the final moisture layer, with richness chosen according to skin type and personal preference. In the morning, SPF follows moisturizer and is the final skincare step. A consistent, easy-to-follow routine matters more than a long list of products.
